One definition states - a work done with extraordinary skill; especially a supreme intellectual or artistic achievement. So how does this translate in your life? Have you ever wondered if you are creating a masterpiece every day? I have never thought about my everyday life as a canvas or even thought that my life, the life that I am creating is my masterpiece. Think of art, think of a gallery filled with art, with many masterpieces, imagine the number of people that will enter each day, and how many pieces are bought. The reality of this is that each artist created a piece of art, every stroke, every line, every color was done to make each piece a masterpiece. The artist did not think of who was going to purchase it, but he knew that every piece of art would speak to a particular individual that saw his vision in what he was creating. Now let’s apply the same concept to our everyday life, we wake up every day, and routine kicks in, and we forget to live with purpose, we forget our canvas, we forget our vision, we forget what brings color to the masterpiece we are supposed to create. In the past couple of weeks, something has woken up in me letting me know that my canvas (my life) is missing color, lines, and missing strokes with purpose. If we think about the number of times a day we do things because is all we know how to do, and we do it because is routine, because we believe that is our purpose, because we believe that we are to be wives and husbands, mother and fathers, that we are here to provide, that we have to work hard even when are unhappy, then we are not living with purpose, we are just living. So I ask you to think about why a higher power has put you on this earth? For me it's taken about 25 years to understand that God has a purpose for my life, because every stroke, every line, every color I now choose has a story, my story, and yes I am a daughter, a sister, a friend, a wife, a mother, and all of it makes an important part of my masterpiece, but there is so much blank space in my canvas that I am choosing to make my everyday part of my Masterpiece!!!
